Avoiding Black Hat SEO Tactics for a Successful Website - Part 2

Another Black Hat SEO technique is filling up the meta tags with keywords or hiding keywords on the webpage. In order to do this, some Black Hat SEO specialists may actually place the keywords on the site in a font that is so small that the naked eye doesn’t see it, but the search engine still picks it up. Some will also use unrelated keywords in order to draw in traffic from a variety of sources.

Every website has a landing page, but a Black Hat SEO specialist will go above and beyond with the optimization of that site. This may involve over use of keywords, hiding keywords, or including keywords in the meta tags.

If you utilize any of these Black Hat SEO tactics, you run the risk of having your website banned by the search engines. While you need to increase the amount of traffic to your website in order to make your business successful, you don’t want to push it so far that the search engines refuse to include your site in their search engine results. Therefore, be sure to have an expert help you in order to be certain your site is properly optimized and won’t be booted from the search engines.
