Search Engine Optimisation On a Budget - Part 2

Create a Good Title Tag

Title tags are what are recognized by the search engines as the link to a webpage. Therefore, this is what is displayed within the search engine results. Your company name should not be included in the title tag because web surfers are more likely to click on links with relevant keywords instead. Therefore, be sure to include keywords in the title tag in order to please the search engines and the human surfers you are trying to attract.

Find Relevant Keywords

Be sure to take the time to properly research the keywords you will include within your content and on your site. Finding the right keywords is where your SEO campaign should begin and everything else should be built around these words. The keywords need to be relevant, yet be real words or phrases that are searched by human web surfers. At the same time, you don’t want the competition for these words to be too fierce. Otherwise, you will be competing against too many other websites when it comes to battling for a high search engine ranking.
